Help Charlotte create headbands for the NHS!

I am raising money to buy more headbands for the staff at York Hospital, so that they can wear their PPE face masks more comfortably all day.

It’s bad enough having to wear the face masks all the time, but to also have the strings cutting into your ears must be very painful, uncomfortable and distracting. The headbands also add some lovely colour and cheer in such a hard and challenging time. It’s not much, but it’s a small gesture to people who are making all the difference in the world!

I will regularly update how many headbands I have made and sent. Also if there are any requests for your local hospital or any specific wards then please let me know! 

With over 230 headbands now completed and sent to staff all over York Hospital, York Care Homes and a care home in Lincolnshire, I am now stopping. Frontline staff will still need to protect themselves against COVID, however I feel this venture has come to a natural end. Thank you so so much to everyone who donated! I received such amazing feedback on how the headbands have helped and put smiles on the faces of the staff. Thank you all, couldn’t have done it without you! To those who know my Dad, he is doing well and is very determined in his approach to his recovery. Stay safe x
