After three years of trying to find my feet following a life-turning custody case, I'm still scrambling.

A general rundown of the current situation: the job I took up early this year was bought out and within a week I was fired by the new owners. I was ineligible for unemployment and interviews didn't pan out, so my mortgage was put on a forbearance plan while I kept looking for work.

Over the summer I was trained and hired for a part-time job, but ended up being hospitalized days before my start date and have since been enrolled in intensive outpatient therapy five days a week, three hours a day. For whatever reason, this information meant that I no longer qualified for the forbearance plan, ending the credit protection on my mortgage.

This means I am now facing potential foreclosure if I can't bring my mortgage account current in a timely manner.

While I have made some money from odd jobs and modeling gigs along the way, it has largely gone to other bills, animal food, and gas.

The loss of my house is the loss of space for my son to stay when he visits, a large yard for my dog, birds, and my son's tortoise, a kitchen space and equipment for my baking ventures, a workspace for my sewing projects, and just a general safe haven for me.

My mortgage is lower than most 1 bedroom apartments in the area - as it stands, keeping my home is the most economical option.

A lot of things have gotten out of hand in my life and I've been doing everything in my power to pull myself together again. I've made many concessions to adjust to how things have panned out, but I *really* don't want to add my home to that list.

Absolutely anything that can be given is appreciated *deeply*. Preventing foreclosure will give me the time I need to wrap up my intensive therapy program and hopefully find more stable work.

I'm ready to see what this different chapter of my life will look like, and my goal is to keep this home as its setting.
