We're Charlotte and Peggy and we're raising funds for housing and living expenses, as well as new tires for our car as it is currently unsafe to drive and could blow out at any time.

Charlotte got let go from her job as a light rail operator in November, due to missing too much time recovering from an injury.

Since then we've both been looking for work, but have had no traction. We've only been able to survive on the good will of donations from Bluesky, but recently we've been unlucky in that area.

We're in the process of moving into a cheaper apartment closer to areas that might have jobs, but without the ability to pay rent and other bills we will end up living in our car, due to being on a month to month lease.

We would like to raise a couple months of expenses so that we have some runway in finding work and getting paid.

Rent at our new place is $1730. We also owe our current complex $1000 for a partial month plus backdated utilities. 4 new tires comes to $800. Expenses such as power, car payment and insurance, phone, internet, etc. come out to about $1300/month, not including food.

Two months of expenses plus remaining partial month and new tires comes to a total of $7860.

We understand that this is a big ask and are incredibly sorry to have to put this out here when so many people are struggling, but this is the difference between being able to recover from the unexpected loss of work in November, and living in our car with our two cats.
