Last week, Charlotte experienced a sudden and serious medical emergency. She became extremely ill, was unable to stand or move on her own, and began having seizures. An ambulance was called, and she was taken to the hospital immediately.

Since then, she has remained hospitalized under close medical care. She is often very tired and wakes only briefly at times. At this time, a diagnosis is still unclear; however, they have shared concerns that her condition may be related to encephalitis or meningitis, but she continues to be closely monitored as additional tests and treatments are ongoing.

An emergency procedure was recently performed to relieve pressure and address fluid around her brain. Because she has been unable to eat on her own, doctors also placed a feeding tube to support her nutrition while she continues to receive treatment. She remains under constant monitoring as her medical team works to understand the cause and guide her recovery.

Her parents have been by her side every step of the way, facing an incredibly stressful and uncertain time. Between time away from work, travel, and ongoing medical expenses, the financial burden has quickly grown.
