Help Charlii get her EARS

 

 

Hi I am Brittany the mother of Charlii. On April 3rd 2013 Charlii was in a terrible dog mauling accident. Charlii was in a coma for a little  over a month in that time her injuries included losing both of her ears completely. Charlii suffered extreme nerve damage to her left ear which causes her to have minimal movement to that side of her face. Charlii suffered permanent damage to her left eye, trauma to her head, as well as a bite to her trachea. Charlii had a fully grafted facial nerve reconstructed after it was completely mauled away by the animals in the attack. Charlii has had an extremely long recover and more to come with her most recent surgery being in 2020. Charlii has had about 15 surgeries thus far. Ever since Charlii's accident as her mother I have assumed full financial responsibility with no help from the original GOfundme. I know many other other people who follow me on social media know that her bio father created a GOFUNDME in her name and we agreed that it was solely for her recovery and not personal use. I know many people have donated to that GOFUNDME. I have tried reaching out, tried reporting it as fraud to get those funds for Charlii but I was unsuccessful. On December 29th 2016 Scott vs Laing family law #68030 Circuit Court of Montgomery County,MD I went to court to fight for the funds to use specifically for Charlii's prosthetic ears, I won. However after 2 years of emailing calling and prolonging Custom Prosthetic INC and promising them Laing would make good on the court ordered payment with the previous GOFUNDME he did not pay it. I personally put down over $4000 towards her prosthetic ears to which the remaining balance has now gone into collections in my name. The previous GOFUNDME was well over $15,000 but sad to say Charlii did not see a penny towards her recovery, sadly it was stolen from her. It is 2022 an my innocent daughter still doesn't have the one thing she feels will make her whole. Me an my husband have been financially stable just enough to afford all of her appointments, surgeries, insurance , and many other things Charlii has needed throughout the years. Charlii's Prosthetic ears will cost anywhere from $7000-$12,000 not including time off from work if it turns surgical or travel cost. Unfortunately our insurance doesn't cover the prosthetics because the accident did not occur during time of coverage. Her medical bills have now exceeded what we can financially do for her. All a mother wants to do is protect their child and provide them with the best life has to offer and I am heartbroken everyday that my sweet daughter life has been forever changed into a challenge. With this I am hoping to turn her challenges into a triumph, the triumph she deserves.

 

Charlii has always been a very beautiful spirit an has always thought the very best of her health. Lately I have notice her be extremely discouraged an her demeanor has changed due to her not having the only and one thing she wants most of all. I want to explore any and all avenues to help her. Our goal is to get Charlii's ears before she starts high school in September. We all know how detrimental and cruel high school can be in the climate we are in today with bullying so please anything will help. MY ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO HAVE THIS SHARED ENOUGH IT REACHES THE RIGHT DOCTORS WILLING TO HELP HER.
