Help Charlie’s Kitchen Recover - Catastrophic Water Damage

Donation protected
Charlie’s Kitchen was shut down completely following a catastrophic leak and extensive water damage earlier this week.

Our staff is unexpectedly without work and income. Owner David Oshima is asking for your help to ensure Charlie's Kitchen staff can continue to support themselves and their families.

This GoFundMe is earmarked for payroll and other expenses that will support Charlie's staff. Once staff is well taken care of, we will use the remaining funds to support critical repairs that will let us reopen ASAP.

Charlie's Kitchen will require major repairs. The leak and flood caused extensive water damage, including to both electrical panels. All food on site was donated and thankfully, there were no injuries.

Charlie's is a part of Harvard Square and the Cambridge community and has served the neighborhood for 50+ years.

Every donation — big or small — makes a real difference. If you’re unable to donate, please share this page widely.

More details on the damage are here.
