Charlie, my loyal basset hound, has been my companion for over 10 years. He’s always been the heart of our local dog park, greeting everyone—young and old—with his gentle spirit and wagging tail. Recently, Charlie was injured at the park and now cannot walk. The vet says he’ll need 12 weeks of care and therapy to have a chance at recovery.

This has been especially hard because I am on a fixed income and recently had a quadruple bypass myself. I’ve given everything I can to help Charlie, and a kind friend, Ed Bonnin, even purchased a wheelchair for him. Still, the costs for his therapy and medical bills are more than I can manage alone.

I’ve always worked hard to make our dog park a welcoming place for everyone, and now I find myself needing help. We are humbly asking for your support so Charlie can heal and hopefully return to the park he loves.
