My friend Charlie Robinson has had a challenging few months.

He moved to Northampton in October to start a new chapter after 20 years in Great Barrington. He was just settling in and ready to start a job at a local restaurant, when he suffered a back injury. The injury resulted in nerve damage down his left leg, making his new 3rd floor apartment too difficult to manage. He has overcome 6 months of pain and physical therapy, and he is moving back to the Berkshires to continue his recovery at the Pittsfield Veterans Administration.

Charlie has incurred considerable debt from the move to Northampton and his inability to work for over 6 months. While he receives Social Security and Veterans benefits, his savings are gone and he is facing starting over for the second time in less than a year.

I’m hoping to raise $5,000 to help him get back on his feet and be able to move forward. He’s looking forward to getting back work while continuing to rebuild and recover.
