Charlie Munsey is well-acquainted with challenging situations and extreme conditions. However, he currently faces his toughest battle yet. In June of 2024, Charlie was diagnosed with a rare type of metastatic pancreatic cancer. A beloved friend and mentor to many, Charlie is a renowned figure in the world of adventure and photography.

His career as an expedition kayaker and professional photographer has spanned decades, during which he has navigated and captured some of the most challenging river gorges in the world. As an author of ‘The World of Whitewater Kayaking’, Munsey has contributed significantly to the kayaking community, sharing his experiences and insights gained from a life dedicated to pursuing adventure. His dedication to his craft and his ability to convey the spirit of adventure through his lens have made him a legend in both the kayaking and photography world.
