Support Charlie May Coffee and Tea House

Hello! We are Analyssa and Arianna of Charlie May, a growing coffee and tea brand in Oakland. We’ve created this project to help launch a Charlie May cafe and community hub in Oakland’s Grass Valley neighborhood.

Charlie May started as a vendor at local pop-up markets with health-forward cold brew coffee and tea beverages. We initially planned to grow our name through wholesale, but we could not refuse an opportunity that arrived at our doorstep, space for a cafe! With a chance to make our future dreams into an immediate reality, we are seeking support from our growing community.

Charlie May has been brewing for years, from working in the coffee industry to brewing cold brew at home for ourselves to taking a chance during an uncertain time. Our passions and values align with this opportunity to provide a space that, historically, is for ideas, conversation, and bringing communities together. We envision a lively community hub to host markets, classes, small events, and meetings. But for now, we start with the cafe!

We love what we do and are doing what we love. Aside from the creativity of our beverages, we are learning and cultivating new life skills and building relations with our immediate community and beyond.

Our eyes are wide open and envision a warm, welcoming space, but we need help building it. Our projected move-in date is April 1st (this is no joke), and we are fundraising for our build-out:

While we continue our next steps, our efforts and funds are recycled back into Charlie May. We are sustaining ourselves, but our growth will come with your support.
