Hi everyone,

My name is Marianne, and my son and I are starting this fundraiser to help my brother, Charlie, as he recovers from a very difficult series of events.

Earlier this year, Charlie lost his beloved wife in February. Since then, he has been dealing with ongoing health challenges, including serious foot infections. What began as a routine surgery recently turned into a major cardiac surgery. Which then turned into potential kidney failure, many surgery postponing while trying to figure out what was up with the kidneys. Charlie has been out of work since the middle of October putting a serious strain on his financial responsibilities.

Charlie will continue to be out of work for several months while he heals and attends frequent doctor’s appointments and rehab sessions. On top of managing his own recovery, Charlie is also the primary caregiver for our mom and dad, who both have significant medical issues. Our dad recently had a below-the-knee amputation and can no longer drive, making things even harder for Charlie and our family.

We’re raising funds to help cover essential expenses during this difficult time — including gas, truck payments, medications, and transportation for Charlie and our parents to their medical appointments.

Charlie is one of the kindest people you could ever meet. He’s always been there for others, no matter what life throws at him. But lately, life has been especially tough, and he truly needs a hand to get through this.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a big difference in helping Charlie stay on his feet — literally and figuratively — as he works toward healing and getting back to caring for his family.
