Our dog Charlie was involved in a dog attack today and was seriously hurt. He has severe injuries to his upper jaw and it's also broken. He will need surgery to repair it.

Charlie is the newest member of our family, and he’s already fit in well on our homestead. We recently adopted him and he’s been adjusting, learning to feel safe, and just starting to settle in. Seeing this happen to him is heartbreaking. However, the vet told us that while his injuries are severe, they are repairable, and with surgery, Charlie has a real chance to heal and go on to live a good, happy life. We were faced with the reality of how serious this is, but we’re choosing to fight for him. He deserves that chance.

After rushing him to the emergency vet, we were given an estimate for surgery and care at around $13,000. It’s a lot, and it’s something we weren’t prepared for, but we want to do everything we can to help him heal and give him the life he deserves.
