Help Charlie get cataracts surgery & see again

Hey Everyone,

My loving Havanese Dog Charlie is my world and he needs your help. Charlie is suffering from hyper-mature cataracts in both eyes and is now completely blind. It brakes my heart to see him so depressed all the time. Charlie is so sweet and kind. He literally lives to play fetch and run after his ball and it breaks my heart that he can’t see, run after or find the ball anymore. His favorite place to play ball was the beach, running along the waves, free as a bird. Today he won't even get out of his carrying bag because the sand won't even let him hear the ball drop. He won't stick his head out the car window anymore. He bumps into things all around the house and he has become so down. Keeping him active and healthy has become a real struggle because now he has a hard time just going on a walk. It's so sad watching him lose all the joy he once had in life. It seems as if he is just slowly giving up and I can't let that happen. Charlie deserves so much more than that.

Charlie is literally the only reason I am still here and a hypnotherapist today. Charlie truly saved my life by giving me a reason to wake up every morning and keep going when I was at my lowest point in life and thanks to him and all his love, I was able to change my life and go back to school so that I can help others change their lives for the better. I truly owe him everything. I'm not the type to ask for handouts but I don’t know what else to do.

Please help me restore Charlies vision so that he can be a happy healthy dog and be able to run, jump and play ball on the beach again.

I have taken him to an Ophthalmologists Dr. McNabb on 03/08/23. Diagnoses: Charlie has developed a complete cataract in both eyes. Surgical removal is the only treatment to resolve cataracts. I have already expelled large amounts of money on this venture and we are now at the point where he is ready to get surgery, once we can afford it. We have been quoted: Cataract surgery diagnostic testing $1500 & Cataract removal surgery for both eyes $7500 plus medications and post-operative and re-evaluations. I don’t expect to get anywhere near the total amount necessary for this surgery but honestly every dollar counts and I will continue to do whatever it takes to make this happen for him.
