Imagine being a high school basketball athlete, MCJROTC cadet, and waking up for school, only to discover you cannot move your legs or feet. That happened to me on January 21, 2025. After going to the ER, not knowing what was wrong, i had many tests performed to determine why. I was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder. I spent the next 4 weeks in the hospital and rehab, trying to retrain my brain.

As I continue the road to recovery, I would like to have my dog, Charlie, certified as an emotional service dog. The training and certification will help me along the way and give him the skills necessary to work alongside me. It would mean a lot to me to be able to have him by my side.
