This campaign is for my friends Charlie Wooton and Arsène DeLay.

On December 31, 2024, Charlie + Arsène's dog, Madeline, was hurt in a hit-and-run on the street as her parents were loading up for a gig at the Maple Leaf. Madeline (woof) sustained severe injuries to her leg, was in excruciating pain and had to be taken to the ER in Metairie immediately. The leg was able to be saved via surgery this last week, but she will be in recovery for several months and require follow-up vet appointments. The sum so far is almost $7K..Any love we can send goes a long way.

Them trying to take care of their puppy from this accident is an expensive and emotional process and they're two beautiful, hard-working culture bearers and musicians.

There's a lot going on in the world right now, and this is for our local community to rally together and support Charlie + Arsène by helping them make a dent in some of their unexpected expenses.

1/26/25 Update: I just spoke with them. They are so humble and private, and were over the moon to learn about our collective contribution to help them out. Their costs so far are about $7K so this amazing campaign helps them out with half! The goFundme account will be transferred to Arsène this week for disbursement. Thank ya'll so much for making this happen.
