Hi folks,

My name is Megan Van Gaal, or as Charley fondly refers to me as, "Flipper". Now, to get a nick name like that you must know Charley and I have been through thick and thin together, I mean 20 years of love, loss, tears and smiles! And if anyone knows Charley, she's been resilient in life. She has faced obstacle after obstacle while working multiple jobs and being a single mom. Her kids are her literal world, and well to be honest so are yours and mine- if your littles were around her they were yours mine and ours and they were treated no differently than her own.

She's selfless, humble and stubborn, lord knows it, but I know she's going to need some help.

A little over a week ago, Charley crashed. She had been sick with influenza A, then shortly after influenza B and then ultimately pneumonia and then as if that wasn't enough, her liver failed and her lungs shut down leading to 5 days on life support and, at present, she still remains in the ICU. We still do not have all the answers to our "Why's" , but until we do , I am starting this go fund me to help with her medical expenses, her childrens expenses and any other financial burdens that may arise while she remains in hospital.
