Update I have been discharged from parkland with no proper medical attention for my legs, no place to live. The social worker from parkland organized for me to go to the shelter on the day of discharge but she told them I would be there in one hour, she expected me catch the bus while carrying all my belongings in a wheelchair to the other side of the city.. so I didn’t make it in time, the was shelter closed and I’m now living on the streets. Please help me in any way it’s cold out here.

Hello my name is Charles Goodson It really pains me to write this, but I feel obligated to only because I just had to have both legs amputated and haven’t been approved for social security disability and don’t know when I’m supposed to get approved or denied.

2 months ago I lost both my mom and brother within 2 weeks apart and it still feels unreal as they was the only family I had that was close to me. Recently I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, sugar diabetes and liver disease resulting to my legs been amputated from the ongoing gangrene and gas infections.

I don't know what's going to happen to me, but I know for sure if I do survive, it will be a very long recovery, and I will not be able to provide for my myself until I receive some assistance or disability benefits or for at least several months if things go well. I will need help with place to stay, food, and rehab and personal care assistance.

I've never asked for help before, but I’m unable to walk and take care of myself so please consider donating to my gofundme to help me provide until I can receive social security benefits.
