Help Charles & Pumpkin Get Moving Again: Mobility Scooter
Donation protected

Hi, my name is Charles. I'm 53 years old and a survivor of a life-threatening battle with COVID-19 that left me on a ventilator. Since then, my mobility scooter has been more than just transportation — it’s been my lifeline.
Living in Gatineau, Quebec and often traveling to Ottawa, I rely completely on my scooter to get around. It helps me attend medical appointments, run errands, stay active, and connect with my community. It’s also how I take my beloved pug, Pumpkin, to the park — one of the true joys in both of our lives.
But now, that lifeline is breaking down.
The shocks are shot, the frame scrapes when I turn, the batteries are on their last legs, and the roof and windshield are cracked. The list of repairs keeps growing, and sadly, fixing it all would cost more than simply replacing the scooter.
So I’m reaching out for help.
I’m raising funds to purchase a new mobility scooter — something safe, reliable, and comfortable — so I can continue to live independently and keep sharing those moments at the park with Pumpkin.
If you’re able to donate or share this campaign, it would mean the world to both of us. Every bit of support brings me one step closer to getting back on the move — and back to the life I’ve fought hard to hold onto.
Thank you for your time, your kindness, and your generosity.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Charles & Pumpkin
