My name is Charles, and I’m an international student from Nigeria studying Electrical Engineering at Houston Christian University. I’ve worked hard alongside my parents to cover my school expenses, but the economic situation in my home country has made it increasingly difficult to keep up with tuition. The value of our currency compared to the U.S. dollar has dropped significantly, and despite searching for scholarships, there are very few options available for international students like me.


I’m now entering my final year, and covering my tuition is the last major hurdle before I can graduate and earn my degree. My dream is to become a successful electrical engineer, focusing on renewable energy so I can contribute to a better world and environment. I’m passionate about using my education to make a positive impact, both in my community and beyond.
