Help Save Charles..

Hi my name is Amanda, and my sweet dog Charles was hit by a car yesterday evening during the thunder storm Wednesday the 30th of August 2023 in Maroubra..

the driver drove off and left Charles on the side of the road bleeding. A beautiful Maroubra local picked him up and drove Charles to the vet..

Once I got to him the vets told me he needed to be rushed to emergency hospital for animals..

Charles has a broken right femur, fractured hip and pelvis, and requires emergency reconstructive surgery to correct his injuries. Last night's overnight stay and monitoring cost us $3000 which I've already paid.

Charles has been on a drip of fentanyl and struggled to get his body temperature back up and stable. I have barely slept and my heart is aching. If he doesn't get this surgery he will not survive.

The hospital has now quoted me $11,000 for his surgery and care, and reassured me that post op he will have a good quality of life.

Charles is loved by everyone he meets and has been with me every step of my journey. For anyone that knows me intimately you'd know I've overcome many struggles in my life and Charles has always been by my side nursing me back to life and I'm just not ready to live without him.

I have been absolutely distraught and am trying to raise as much money for his surgery as I can as and whatever else I will have to try to apply for a loan because I've spent my savings on his bill last night.

Any donation would help even if it's $5.. if all my followers on social media chipped in $2 each we could save Charles.
