We are super excited that our son, Charles Anderson, got accept letter from National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Youth Leadership Camp. Here is the website: https://youth.nad.org/ylc/

He will attend this camp on July 2nd to July 26th, 2025 at Stayton, Oregon. Their camp is an educational four-week summer program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing school sophomores and juniors. The camp provides leaders the ability to develop their scholarship, leadership, and citizenship (SLC) qualities outdoors. Leaders experience self-discovery, learn about self-identity, confidence, and self-esteem and understand many things about themselves. The NAD YLC is also an extension of the activities and training offered by the Jr. NAD. He will be involved with Leaders from all over the U.S. who get the training and educational opportunities to transition in higher education, meaningful employment, and leadership development.

This will give an amazing opportunity to meet the Leaders and other Deaf and Hard of Hearing teenagers from all over the U.S.

The tuition cost of this camp is $4,000. His flight tickets are covered by Texas Workforce Solutions, Transition Rehabilitation at Texas School for the Deaf. If you would like to donate his camp fee, please send the money to Dannette Lira-Anderson where I can pay the tuition online. There is flexibility in payment on or before April 1st for $1,500, May 1st for $1,500, and June 1st for $900. If you would like to donate from $25, $50, $100, $200, and so on, you can use this for tax write off. Your donation to his tuition is much appreciated.
