Help Charleigh Walk Again: Her Journey After FCE
Donation protected
***Edit- after speaking with my husband I have decided to close down the GoFundMe for Charleigh. We are no longer looking at a $4500 MRI and a potential surgery upwards of $10,000. She is going to do extensive weekly physical therapy that we will be able to cover. Thank you to everyone who has shared and donated on behalf of Charleigh. **
Hi everyone,
My sweet dog, Charleigh, recently suffered a back injury Thursday evening 8/21/25, that has left her paralyzed. She was in our backyard doing what she loves best playing fetch when she suddenly lost control of her back legs and started yelping in pain. We immediately rushed her to a ER vet where they told us that she has no feeling in her hind legs and will need an MRI to determine her diagnosis and rehab rehabilitation plan. Watching her struggle breaks my heart— she has always been full of life, love, and joy, and now she needs help to have a chance at recovery.
The vets have recommended an MRI to better understand the damage and a course of physical therapy to help restore her ability to walk or adjust to a new normal. The MRI is her best chance to figure out the path to regain mobility and live a happy, pain-free life. Unfortunately, the costs are overwhelming, and we can’t do this alone.
The estimated cost for the initial MRI and diagnostic ranges from $4500 - $6,500. This does not include any physical therapy cost and/or surgeries she may need.
Charleigh means the world to our family— she is not just a pet, but family. With your help, I’m hopeful we can give her the care needed to recover and enjoy many more tail wags, cuddles, and happy days ahead.
Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward Charleigh’s treatment. Even if you can’t give, sharing this page would mean so much.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping Charleigh get a second chance at walking again.
With gratitude,
The Salazar family
