Help CharLee Rae Beat Cancer with Surgery
Donation protected
CharLee Rae, my 6 ½ year old German Shepherd, has an anal gland carcinoma which is an aggressive cancer that can spread to her lungs and lymph nodes. She came into my life after Raleigh crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I truly believe Raleigh led her to me at a time when I really needed her. CharLee Rae was 2 years old when she came into my life.
I am asking for help so she can have surgery to remove the cancerous tumor. Her biopsy results came back while I was away helping my brother with my youngest nephew. It was devastating news especially because she is my silly girl that has her own friends, especially little ones, in the neighborhood. When we go on walks, she will stop and will look to see if her people are out on their porch so she can go say hi and get lots of pets and treats!
I asked her vet to do imaging to make sure her lungs and lymph nodes were free of tumors. Her bloodwork is good and the imaging showed her lungs and lymph nodes are free of tumors!!!! Surgery is the best option for CharLee Rae but has to be done by a specialty surgeon due to the location and all the nerves in her anal area. There is only one tumor which is even better news! The price range from Northstar Vets (Robbinsville NJ) is $4000 to $12000. We have a consultation with the surgeon on Wednesday, August 14 and I will update the price range after the consultation. Any amount will help as I exhaust every option to help pay for her surgery. Both of us are very grateful for any help even if it is just sharing her story.
