My daughter Charlee had major heart surgery on July 10th and we have been stuck in the hospital since then due to complications after surgery, such as a collapsed lung and prolonged chest tube drainage needed. I ran out of PTO for work and we are not sure how much longer Charlee will be in the hospital. It’s getting to a point where I have to put my pride aside and ask for help because bills are not going to be paid the longer we have to be in the hospital. She is in good spirits as long as I am here with her. If I leave the room for any reason, even to use the bathroom, she gets very distressed. The nurses can’t even give her needed medication without me being the one to give it to her, so leaving the hospital is not a viable option. Any help would be appreciated greatly.
