I am starting this fundraiser for my corgi girls, Charlee and Piper, after a terrifying and unprovoked attack that happened just 20 feet from our front door. We just bought our home in South Hill Puyallup and have only been here a couple of months, so this has been even more shocking and heartbreaking for our family. My daughter was walking them when two Staffordshire dogs attacked. In the middle of the chaos, both my daughter and a neighbor’s son were bitten as they tried to get help. The dogs’ owner was not home, and the owners are renters with no insurance, so we have been left facing this nightmare on our own. I was not home when it happened, and I will never forget getting a video call from my daughter crying and covered in blood. It was one of the most helpless and heartbreaking moments of my life.

Charlee and Piper are sisters who are almost 10 years old, and they have never been separated. They mean everything to our family, and seeing them go through this has been devastating. We are incredibly grateful for the neighbors who rushed out to help, and for the neighbor who transported my daughter and both dogs to the hospital. Right now, Piper remains hospitalized, and our vet bills are nearing $10,000. These funds will help cover emergency care, surgeries, and the ongoing treatment Charlee and Piper need to recover from this traumatic event.
