Hi, my name is Charkesia Bell. I’m a U.S. military veteran and a proud athlete with an unshakable love for the game of basketball.

After experiencing a life-changing injury, I was faced with the reality that my path would look very different—but I refused to let go of my passion. That’s when I discovered wheelchair basketball, and it changed everything. It gave me a second chance to compete, to grow, and to be part of a team again. It reminded me of who I am at my core: a fighter, an athlete, and a person who never gives up.

Now, I’m working hard to continue that journey—but I need your help. In order to keep playing and pushing forward, I need a new basketball wheelchair. These chairs are custom-built for agility, safety, and performance on the court—but they come with a high price tag that I can’t cover on my own.

This isn’t just about a wheelchair. It’s about staying active, building confidence, being part of a community, and continuing to rise after setbacks.
