On September 4th, at the Earl Scruggs Music Festival, a banjo belonging to one of my students went missing and unfortunately has not been recovered.
Charity is a talented 12-year-old musician from Mill Spring, NC, who has progressed incredibly quickly and is one of the most promising young musicians I've had the privilege to teach. Sadly, this happened at her very first bluegrass festival.
The wonderful team at Gold Tone Music Group has generously offered to help cover part of the cost of a replacement banjo, and I have personally contributed $100 to get things started.
All funds raised will go directly toward purchasing a replacement banjo for Charity so she can continue learning, playing, and doing what she loves.
Any donation, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated. If you're unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.
Let's show Charity the kind of support and community that bluegrass is truly about.
