Help Chariti live! Fund her life saving surgery

To you her name is Chariti, but to us She’s mom. Our mother has always been a caring and generous person. No matter what your last name was, she treated you like family. If you needed it and she had it, it was yours. If you needed to talk, she had open ears. If you wanted advice, she was there to open her Bible and give you some wisdom. To say she is the kind of person to give her own kidney to someone in need isn’t a exaggeration or hypothetical situation. She actually did that.

She is a wife, a mother to 8, a mother-in-law to 4, and a grandmother to 3 beautiful grand babies. She is a mentor, a selfless friend, a light for Jesus, and an unwavering testimony of God’s goodness and love. To know her is to love her.

She’s always been the kind of person who actively looks for ways to help and love others, but now she’s the one that desperately needs help.

It has been two years of struggling with her health, and fighting the insurance company to get care. At first, doctors thought it could be allergies, upper respiratory infection, or a laundry list of other things. After months of no relief or answers, the doctors wanted to do a CT scan, which was denied by insurance 3 times postponing care.

Finally on January 15th a CT scan was approved and done, revealing a mass in the left side of her lung. We got the news a few days later, the word we were all dreading CANCER. Stage 4 typical carcinoid lung cancer. At first it was classified as inoperable because of its location and closeness to her heart. She was given weeks, maybe months to live before it would cut her air supply and she would suffocate and die.

Broken and devastated with little time left we cried out to God for a miracle. HE ANSWERED. With grace, God gave her more time by moving mountains and allowing her to get a procedure done to remove a small portion of the tumor that was closing her airway. Without this now possible surgery to remove the rest of the tumor she will die. This surgery must be done by a cardio thoracic surgeon.

Our insurance does not have a single Cardio thoracic surgeon in network in Texas or Louisiana to provide this lifesaving surgery. This is where we need your help. In order for her to get the surgery and treatment she needs, at the facility that’s necessary, we will have to pay out of pocket. This is something that is impossible for our family, and so we are desperately asking you for help. We are asking you to help save our mom. If not for her, or for us than for our two youngest brothers, who are still just kids. Our youngest brother isn’t even in middle school yet, but he is scared he may not have his mom at graduation. Please help us. If there was something we could do without having to ask for help we would do it. This is beyond our capability, but we know with God, ALL things are possible.
