Charis and Ryan are facing a challenging time as they learned today at Ryan’s post-op appointment that doctors will have to clean up an infection around his spinal fusion surgery, with the procedure possibly happening as soon as tomorrow. With this unexpected news, Charis will be by Ryan’s side throughout his hospital stay, focusing all her energy on his recovery and well-being.

Their dog Charlie, a 1.5-year-old Goldendoodle, is a big part of their lives but unable to be focused on at this time due to no fault of his own. He is full of energy and love that needs to be taught the right outlets. The plan is to enroll Charlie in a two-week board and train program to help him learn to channel his energy positively and become a calming support for Ryan during his healing process. If the training program isn’t immediately available, a temporary boarding solution is in place until Charlie can start his training.
