This is my special soul dog named Chaquita.

The day Chaquita came into my life was definitely the best day ever. We bonded instantly. She’s been with me through the hardest moments and some of the very best. Chaquita isn’t just a pet. She’s my lil shadow and constant friend.

From the moment I met her, I knew she was something special. I wanted to share her with the whole world, so I started a TikTok. She quickly became known for her iconic Taco Bell reactions and heartwarming moments with my dad - known to everyone as Grandpa. Her big personality shines through every post, and she’s brought so much joy to people around the world.

We received heartbreaking news. Chaquita is suffering from advanced tracheal collapse. She’s now fainting from lack of oxygen, and her vet believes she’ll need a stent placed by a specialist. Any fainting episode she has could be fatal and cause sudden death.

Chaquita had a consult on August 19th 2025 for her collapse trachea. Imaging showed that her left side is very bad and confirmed she does need a stent placed. The specialist had an estimate drawn up for me and in total her surgery will be $10,700. That’s the highest est number. The lowest est number is $9,900. If Chaquita needs her own special designed stent, which is possible since the specialist said since she’s so tiny, it could be that $10,700 ballpark number.
