Our dear friend Chaquevia needs your support!

This summer, after graduating with an M.A. in Education Policy from Columbia University, Chaquevia moved back home to figure out her next steps. After several years teaching history in Brooklyn, with dreams of making Ed policy, Chaquevia experienced the loss of all of her belongings due to the extreme negligence of her moving company.

Today, she was notified that the moving truck holding everything she owned was left abandoned, picked up by a towing company, and all the items within were discarded.

At the precipice of another big move to start her career in education advocacy, Chaquevia is starting from square one and needs the support of her community.

While Chaquevia is actively working with the moving company to secure adequate compensation, she needs help now. Let's help our friend with the funds she needs for new essentials, clothes, shoes, furniture, and for future moving costs.

Many have asked about legal action— and while Chaquevia is looking into legal options, it would take a very long time for a financial resolutions to be reached.
