Help Chapel Walk: Support His SDR Surgery
Donation protected
My name is Candy Gordon, and I’m a close family friend of Chapel and his sweet family. I’m reaching out to you today to share Chapel’s story and ask for your help. Chapel is an incredible little boy who was born with Cerebral Palsy, which affects his movement and muscle control. Despite the challenges he faces every day, Chapel has a joyful spirit and an unstoppable determination to keep pushing forward.
Chapel has been given the opportunity to undergo a life-changing procedure called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) surgery on January 13th, 2025. SDR is a specialized procedure that will target the nerves causing Chapel's muscle stiffness, offering the potential for significant improvements in his mobility. Following surgery, Chapel will begin an intensive physical therapy program to help him regain strength and improve coordination. With the right support, Chapel has the opportunity to walk more freely, reduce pain, and run and play like other kids do.
However, the costs associated with the surgery and the necessary post-operative care are substantial and Chapel’s family needs our support. We are asking for your generous support to help Chapel access this life-changing surgery. Your contributions will go directly toward funding the rehabilitation, therapy, and expenses the Holcomb Family will incur traveling to Nashville for physical therapy five days a week for the six months following surgery.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about Chapel’s journey. Your kindness and support mean the world to him and his family. Let’s come together and make a real difference in this little boy’s life!
If you would like to assist the Holcomb Family by providing Dinner in the post operative period, I have also set up a Meal Train which you can sign up for here: https://mealtrain.com/47gvq7 (for reference, Chapel's Surgery is scheduled for January 13th, 2025)
