Help Chantelle Lay Her Baby to Rest and Support Her Disabled

Donation protected
With a heart full of sorrow, we ask for your support on behalf of Chantelle Alexander, a strong and loving mother of three, who is now grieving the devastating loss of her infant son while continuing to care for her disabled daughter and young toddler.

Her 3-month-old baby boy, Qiyaam Jahkai Allie, passed away just weeks ago after a rapid and tragic health decline. A month after receiving routine vaccinations, Qiyaam began having seizures—originally described by doctors as "fits." He stopped eating, became unresponsive, and was eventually admitted to the hospital, where they discovered his brain was swelling. Shortly before he passed, he was diagnosed with meningitis.

This painful loss mirrors the story of her eldest child, Sheba Katrina Alexander, a 5-year-old girl who also survived meningitis as a baby—though her life was forever changed by it.

Sheba was born prematurely at 30 weeks via emergency C-section due to Chantelle’s high blood pressure, which was triggered by an undetected infection. After birth, Sheba was placed in an incubator and required Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) for growth and bonding. She appeared healthy—until she developed a severe stomach infection, which spread to her brain and caused meningitis.

Sheba spent two months in the ICU, where she received aggressive treatment, including antibiotics and eventually a VP shunt operation to drain excess fluid from her brain. Though she survived, the damage was lasting.

Today, Sheba is disabled. She is non-verbal, cannot walk, is short-sighted, and deaf in her right ear. She uses a wheelchair and requires constant care.

Chantelle is now carrying the weight of grief from her son’s sudden passing while continuing to raise Sheba and her 1-year, 10-month-old son, Menelik Ashley Swartz—all without the financial resources or emotional support she deserves.

We are raising funds to help Chantelle:

Cover cremation and funeral expenses for baby Qiyaam
Access continued medical care, therapy, and equipment for Sheba
Receive mental health and grief counseling for herself and her children
Meet basic living expenses during this time of immense hardship
Chantelle is doing her best to stay strong—but she needs our help.

Please consider donating or sharing this campaign with others who can. Let’s honor baby Qiyaam’s life and give Chantelle the strength and stability she needs to care for her children.

Every donation matters. Every share helps. Thank you for your compassion.
