Hi everyone,
I’m starting this fundraiser for Chantel Brown, a close family friend and an incredible mom of seven. Chantel works hard every day at Napa Auto Parts in Enumclaw, doing everything she can to help provide for her family.
Yesterday morning, Chantel was riding her bike to work from her home (behind Safeway) when she was struck by a vehicle on the sidewalk. The car clipped the back wheel of her bike, causing her to fall hard onto the pavement. She blacked out briefly and regained consciousness as she waited for an ambulance to take her to the hospital.
Chantel suffered multiple lacerations on her hands and face, painful road rash, and a fractured occipital bone. She’s now home and recovering, but she’s in a lot of pain and very sore all over.
Despite these injuries, Chantel had planned to return to work on Monday (just three days after the accident) because her family depends on every paycheck to stay afloat. Her husband, Jimmy, has been working hard to cover bills, and their teenage daughters have stepped up to help care for her at home—but they still rely heavily on Chantel’s income.
With her permission (after I bugged her about it!), I’m asking our community to rally around Chantel and her family. Let’s help provide some breathing room so she can focus on resting and healing without worrying about missing work or covering daily household expenses.
If you know Chantel, you know she’s the most loving, bubbly, hardworking, and caring person. She’s always been there for others—now it’s our turn to be there for her.
Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help spread the word.
Let’s show Chantel and her family that Enumclaw takes care of its own.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
