Hi, my name is Chante. On April 17th, 2025, my daughter and I lost everything in a devastating house fire where over 60 firefighters were dispatched to assist with a 2nd Alarm Fire. Just months ago, we relocated from rural Georgia to upstate New York, chasing a fresh start and building a better life. After months of hard work, sacrifice, and resilience, I found a home for us and was able to furnish it from the ground up. For the first time in a long time, things were finally starting to fall into place.

As a full-time parent, a working professional, and a college student, my plate was full—but I was managing it all with discipline, faith, and determination. My daughter and I were thriving. We were safe. We were hopeful.

But in an instant, the fire took it all away—our home, our belongings, our sense of peace. We are now starting over from nothing. We walked away with only the clothes on our backs.

We are asking for help to rebuild. The funds raised will go directly toward securing stable housing, replacing essentials like furniture, clothing, and school supplies, and helping us get back on our feet. Being new to the area, it has been difficult to find the right resources and community support on our own. That’s why I’m reaching out here.
