Help Chantale Pay for Medical Treatment
Hello. My name is Chantale Grep and I need your help. As you can see from the YouTube link, I love life. I love to dance, I love to be around my family and friends. And I am at serious risk of losing all of that.
I have cancer. Not just any cancer, but a mean and aggressive one. It started in my ovaries. Only my doctor didn't figure that out and blamed my pain on an infection in my abdomen. But it didn't get better and it didn't get better and after a couple of months I sought a second opinion because it was not only not getting better but was getting progressively worse. I was in terrible pain and unable to work in my chosen field as a caregiver for the elderly and infirm.
When the second doctor recommended surgery, I did the chemotherapy as they suggested, then the radiation, then the surgery after they tried to shrink the tumors. Like a slap in the face, the surgeon opened my abdomen and closed it right back up again, knowing that there were too many tumors to be able to perform a successful surgery.
Again, I followed doctor's orders and endured another round of chemotherapy. I have good days, and I have other days that are not as productive or pleasant. But they are MY days, and I want to continue to have them, ALL of them! I have always tried to truly live every moment of every single day I've been given in this life. And I want MORE of them.
I have two beautiful children. And I want to live to see grandchildren one day. I want to live to help people again. As I told my friend today, I am not accepting hospice care yet...I am not DONE yet! I have strong relationships with my family, my friends, my God, and I'm not ready to give any of that up just yet.
There is a trial study I am trying to be a part of, but here's where I need your help. Because I cannot work, I cannot earn the money to pay for my own transportation and housing. The city in which the trial is being held has not yet been determined, but it will not be in Orlando near my home so I will need to live elsewhere for the length of the study.
I ask that you please give what you, if you can. I am grateful for any gift you can make, either monetarily or by providing the spiritual gift of prayer. Bless you for taking the time to read my story and for the generosity of your spirit.
