Hello! My name is Channing Minnema. I’m a musical artist that produces all of my own music as well as other people's music. Last month, my house in Saint Paul was sold from under me, and I was given less than 30 days to move out and find a new place to live. I have moved 3 times in the last year and a half, and really didn’t want to go through the struggle of trying to find another place, so I decided to sell most of my belongings and buy an RV, a trailer, and a motorcycle and move into it!

The first few days of living in the RV were pretty exciting, but on the 4th day, my RV broke down right in the middle of an intersection during rush hour and wouldn’t start. I ended up having to pay almost $300 just to get it towed around the corner and dropped off on the side of the road, where the RV and I have been stuck since.

I hired a mobile mechanic to come out and fix the RV, but ended up getting ripped off by him and left with the broken RV and $500 less. The second mechanics I hired worked on it for two days and still couldn’t figure out what the issue was. Another $500 down the drain.

And then, it got worse… on the morning of Monday, August 25th, my motorcycle was stolen right off the street while I was still sleeping in the RV, and it’s very unlikely I’ll ever see that bike again.

Now I’m left with no mode of transportation, my RV is still broken down, and I’m over $1400 in the hole with no solutions.

The RV has been stuck here for over a week now, and the city is getting on me about moving it before they tow it away.

Everything I own is in the RV because it’s my new home, and now all that I have that works is the trailer that is supposed to be pulled by the RV that won’t run, that I bought for the bike that I no longer have.

I’ve run out of options, so now I’m turning to my community, family, and friends for help. I know the repairs for an RV are costly, and I need to get another used motorcycle to get around when I park the RV, as well as upkeep and maintenance on both vehicles. I’d greatly appreciate any and all help I can get to get me back on the road and continuing my journey! Thank you for your support!
