Help Chango get the Veterinary Care He Needs
Donation protected
One of my favorite dogs on the planet, Chango, has been diagnosed with cancer.
Chango belongs to my dear friend, Chad Underhill, who has had the agonizing task of weighing Chango’s options and choosing what is best for him.
Recently Chango developed a large and painful tumor on his lip, which, over Christmas, burst and became exposed. After an emergency room visit and biopsy, it was determined to be cancerous.
The choices provided to Chad include either (1) extremely aggressive and expensive cancer treatment with uncertain success, or (2) to minimize pain and suffering and let Chango live out the rest of his life as comfortably as possible. Because Chango is 9 years old, Chad has decided the second option is the best and most compassionate for Chango. This was a decision that was not taken lightly by Chad.
But the problem is, Chango has an exposed, cancerous wound on his mouth that is at risk of infection, is causing him pain, and may reduce his ability to comfortably eat and drink. For Chango to live more comfortably, this tumor will need to be removed.
The cost of the E.R. visit, biopsy, and surgery (to remove the tumor and minimally repair Chango’s mouth), will cost a total of approximately $5,000. With limited financial resources available, Chad is struggling to meet the necessary expenses. With your help, we can ease the financial burden and help ensure critical care and comfort for Chango.
I hope that the remainder of Chango’s life can be enjoyed while Chad “rides it out” with him. Any donation amount helps; it’s been a tough run for Chad, and Chango has been such a big part of his life.
Much love to you all and thank you for your consideration. Teresa
