I am helping Changing Lives Carrington to raise urgent funds for their animas. You may have seen recent posts from
them but I have spoken with Nicola,
who runs the community interest
company, and she is desperately in
need of help. She says:
"I started changing lives at carrington
In September 2020 in the midst of the pandemic! Crazy I know! But I couldn't stand seeing all the stray animals and
peoples changes of circumstances in having to rehome their beloved pets. Im a huge animal lover and wanted to
make an impact. At 20 years old with a mortgage to pay, a car, two of my own personal dogs to take care of and
starting a new business from scratch it was so tough. There was no grants, no funding and no help whatsoever that I could dig in to do it was completely
self funded and relied on donations.
Im currently managing director of the CIC (community interest company) and looking to get charity status in September this year!
I do all of the admin, advertising,
phone calls, viewings, home checks,
vet runs and fundraisers whilst having another full time job at carrington riding centre.
We have over 55 animals in at the
moment and my max is usually 20-24 max we're over full and struggling like mad. I just can't say no to animals in
need especially when they're sick or
just going to get chucked to the side it breaks my heart. No animal deserves
that and I need help saving them".
In addition to a recent influx of cats
and kittens, Nicola is trying to build
more rabbit runs. Any donation that
you can make would really help her
and the animals, in these very difficult
times.
Thank you so much.
