Sophia Snow is a passionate activist, beloved partner, active community member, and a trusted friend to many. Incredibly compassionate, she goes out of her way to help her fellow members of the LGBT community & others, and actively chooses to hold space & provide support for those close to her. Sophia is also a transgender woman, and has been living with severe, debilitating gender dysphoria for most of her life.
She's done what she can to transition thusfar, and is infinitely happier living as her authentic self - but like many trans women in America, she lacks the monetary resources to address her most pressing area of dysphoria. This fundraiser is meant to raise money for Sophia to pursue vaginoplasty, a form of Gender Affirming Surgery commonly known as "lower" or "bottom" surgery.
Sophia is an absolutely wonderful person, and she deserves to live a life free from the emotional pain & distress that comes from gender dysphoria. She deserves to live in a body that feels like her own, and by donating you can help her do just that.
The average cost of vaginoplasty in the USA is $18,000 - $22,000. The stretch goal for this campaign has been set to $25,000 to somewhat accommodate additional expenses such as travel, any complication-related or unaccounted for medical expenses, and funds for Sophia & her partner to live off of while she recovers. All donations contribute to Sophia having a happier & healthier life, and are greatly appreciated.
