Help Chanelle

We are reaching out to ask for support for a very special and brave young girl Chanelle who is currently undergoing chemotherapy at just 15 years old.

This has been an incredibly difficult and life changing time for her and her family. Despite everything she is facing, she continues to show remarkable strength, courage, and resilience every single day.

Her parents, who are both self-employed, are doing everything they can to support their daughter through this journey. However, being self employed means they do not have access to the same level of financial support see or security that others might receive, and the ongoing costs associated with treatment, travel, and time away from work are placing a significant strain on the family.

On top of this, the family is currently facing the added stress of losing their home, as their landlord is putting their house on the market as new laws have came into place in Ireland . This has put them under severe pressure at a time when their focus should be entirely on their daughter’s health and wellbeing.

We are hoping to ease some of that burden so they can focus on what truly matters, supporting their daughter through her treatment and recovery.

Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to this family. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would also make a huge difference.

Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and support during this incredibly challenging time
.
(Chanelles testimony)
My name is Chanelle.

I was diagnosed with Type B ALL ( Acute leukemia lymphoblastic) on the 11th of March the day before my Daddy's 40th birthday.
Just 2 weeks beforehand I was in hospital for a routine blood test as I have psoriasis since I was small.
The doctors said my bloods were not 100% and to be careful as I could get sick very easily.
By the 8th of March I didnt feel well and had a slight temperature so my daddy rushed me to hospital .
Ive been in hospital since then and started my chemotherapy treatment on the 13th of March.
I just turned 15 on the 2nd of April and had to spend my birthday picking my new hair piece.
Unfortunately I really didn’t enjoy my birthday this year.
I am being treated in St. John's ward Crumlin children's hospital where all the doctors and nurses are so nice and try to make me as comfortable as possible , they are all an inspiration to me and make me want to help kids like me when I’m older .
Treatment so far has been so hard and very painful, I feel very sick most of the time.
Im lucky to have such a loving family and amazing supportive friends and boyfriend who are always around me so I am never alone.
My Daddy had to stop working so he can be there for me throughout my treatment, which will be just over 2 years .
I know I have a long hard road ahead of me and will miss out on a lot of school but with all the support of my family and friends I know I am not alone in this difficult and scary journey.
We have to move from our home next month which also makes me so sad as I love our home and my lovely bedroom . I will really miss all our neighbours too as they have always being so good to us .
Ive made friends with another amazingly brave girl the same age as me in St John’s Ward . It’s nice to have someone my age to talk to who knows what im going through and how I feel.

This is my story so far...
thanks for reading
