Help Chanelle in this time of need

Donation protected

My beautiful girl Chanelle and I would greatly appreciate your prayers and support at this very difficult time.

Chanelle first noticed a tiny little lump on her left lower jaw on the 17th of October 2020, On Tuesday the 20th of October that little lump
had popped out into a much larger lump as shown in one of the photos below.

On the 21th of October we had an X-ray at the dentist, which showed a vascular lesion on the left body of mandible. We were then referred to a maxillo facial surgeon who requested a
CT scan to be done as soon as possible.

This scan was then done on the 23rd of October, with the results coming back as an
Keratocystic Odomtongenic tumor.  We then had another appointment with the maxillo
facial surgeon on the 27th of October who
advised her she would need a urgent biopsy.

She then had her biopsy on the 29th of October, during this operation the surgeon decided to start the treatment of shrinking the tumor thinking it was the Keratocystic Odomtongenic tumor.

The next morning i received a phone call from her surgeon with disappointing news that it was a much more aggressive tumor then we thought being a multi cystic ameloblastoma tumor. From here we were then referred to the head, neck & cancer surgeon where they immediately booked in Chanelle to see the professor.

On the 2nd of November, I was advised that Chanelle would require a segmental mandibulectomy and free flap reconstruction.

Chanelle is only 15 years old, she is the first child to have this rare tumor known in Australia.

As a teenager this is extremely overwhelming and hard to comprehend and accept, she has started seeing a psychologist and counsellor to help cope and get through this traumatic time in her life. We are absolutely devastated.

She will need 8 implanted teeth and will then receive ongoing rehabilitation, dietician, speech therapist, physio, as well as ongoing specialist appointments and checkups.

Being a single mother with minimal financial support, i was left with no other option but to set up this fundraiser in hopes of receiving financial support.

Anyone who knows Chanelle, knows that she has a heart of gold and is always giving, always smiling always bringing joy to everyone around her but in this case her fake smile never eases the pain and suffering she is going through.

This isn't something that we want to do but in this situation I’ve had no choice but to give my daughter the best possible result, Doctors and Professor.  I would appreciate any donation. Even if you are unable to make a donation your prayers are most important and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read.

There’s  a long journey ahead but the power of prayer is more powerful than anything, God bless.
