Chanel is my six-year-old short hair tabby, and she’s been a beloved part of my life since she was just eight weeks old. Over the past week, Chanel has become very ill—she’s been throwing up, unable to go to the bathroom, and stopped eating her food. After rushing her to the emergency vet, we learned she had a fever and inflammation in her colon. The vet team has provided overnight stays, IV fluids, antibiotics, ultrasounds, X-rays, and blood work to help her recover.

Caring for Chanel has meant I haven’t been able to work, as I need to keep a close eye on her at home. The emergency vet bills have quickly added up, and I’ve already spent thousands to make sure she gets the treatment she needs. Chanel is more than just a pet—she’s family, and her gentle personality and loving presence have brought so much comfort and joy to my life. Watching her struggle has been heartbreaking, but I’m determined to do everything I can to help her heal.
