Hi Everyone,

I am Chanel, a fluffy french bulldog, and have been facing serious health issues, and need your help to continue my treatment. I was recently hospitalized at LeadER Animal Specialty Hospital due to severe vomiting, dehydration, and complications from polycythemia vera, a condition that causes my body to produce too many red blood cells.

During my hospital stay, it was required for the vets to perform multiple therapeutic phlebotomies, including IV fluids, medications, and testing. My bloodwork has shown elevated kidney enzymes, and an echocardiogram revealed Pulmonic Stenosis, which is the reason I carry Polycythemia Vera. It has caused thickening of my heart muscle and issues with blood and oxygen circulation. Due to these complications, I have been placed on additional medications, including a beta blocker and an increased dose of hydroxyurea to help manage my condition.

Despite all of this, I remain a fighter, and with continued treatment, I will have a chance at a better quality of life. However, my medical expenses are adding up quickly, and me and my pawrents need your support to afford the ongoing medications, any procedures or surgeries, follow-up treatments, and veterinary care.
