Hi everyone. Never thought I would be setting up a go fund me, but here I am! This is so hard, I can't think of anyone who likes asking for help. Im sorry this is such a long post but I'm trying to answer any questions I would think you may have about my situation.
As many of you may know I have Ulcerative colitis. Which, if you don't know, is very close to Crohns and is an autoimmune disease. Uc has caused me to have many other health problems. Anemia, anxiety, congestive heart failure, and osteopenia just to name a few. Some of these cause me a great deal of pain. I have muscle spasms, stomach cramps, siatic nerve and hip pain daily. I have little to no energy due to blood loss (anemia). I had an anxiety attack when my dr. saw this masses and immediately wanted a second opinion. In those moments while she was away, getting her supervisor I laid on the table, cried and thought of my husband an kids. I have lost so much time with them from being sick and in pain. Natalie and Mason are my world. I would move mountains for them. They are the reason I get up daily, and grind though the pain. They are the reason I breath.
I was sent to a surgeon two days later. Unfortunately I don't currently have health insurance and I found out I had to had to have surgery for one of those masses to see what they were. A few other things were paired from complications from UC as well.
The appointment with my surgeon was the very same day Jeremiah was flying out to be with family in California due to the passing of his grandmother. My surgery was scheduled for the day after he came home a week later. My doctor didn't want to wait that long, but i knew i would need my rock by my side.
Due to covid and having to quarantine when Jeremiah got covid in December, neither one for us had any sick time to cover the surgery and recovery. Not knowing this would happen I used my vacation to move into our new home.
Three days after surgery I found out I have the big "C" word, the next day I was in the oncology office going over treatment plans. Making more appointments for CT and PET scans to see if it had spread. Unfortunately it has. There have been medications and supplies I have to have after surgery that are not cheap and bills - hospital and home, that we won't be able to paid with out help.
Jeremiah has had to take off work to help after surgery and now a lot of my appointments. We are both missing work.........
I am applying for every assistance program there is and am looking into disability the process is just so long and we need help sooner than that. Yes, we got our stimulus packages. We are trying to work on our credit and paid off bills and used it to get settled in our new house. Which if you have ever moved you know how expensive that gets. If you know me I'm not they type to ask for help unless I really need it. If I could do this and go back to work the next day, I would, but I cant.
Anything donated will be greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
