Help Chandler's Dad Fight Cancer

Hi, I’m Chandler, and I’m fundraising to support my father who was recently diagnosed with both esophageal cancer and bone cancer.

After multiple surgeries to determine the reason why he was unable to swallow food or drink, the biopsy determined it was cancer. Since then, my dad has had further scans, which has discovered bone cancer in his L2 vertebrae as well.

For 3 weeks, he was unable to work, which caused his bills to pile up. His health insurance will not cover his wages lost during his multiple stays in the hospital. My dad has since returned to work, because he can’t afford to miss any more days, but he also has deductibles and copays to manage.

That is why I created this fundraiser: to provide some financial support for him, while he is medically unable to work. To recoup what he has lost, pay his medical bills, and ease his burdens so he can recover and heal.

I often say that if you can live today with joy, then it doesn’t matter what tomorrow brings. I hope with all my heart that my dad will be able to make a full recovery and become healthy again. But regardless of the results of his treatment, I want to ease his burdens for today, so that he may live in joy and know that he is loved.
