Help Chandlar Recover From Sudden Heart Failure

At just 26 years old, Chandlar’s life took an unexpected and terrifying turn. Out of nowhere, he got a severe migraine that led to profusely sweating, being confused, and having irregular heart beats and chest pain. I rushed him to the hospital where they discovered he went into heart failure, and doctors still haven’t identified the root cause. They believe stress may have played a role, the diagnosis they gave him by day two is called Takasubo, or Stress Induced Cardio Myopathy.

Another possible outcome that aligns with his symptoms is Lymes disease. Chandlar took a fly fishing trip to a tick infested area in Oregon and is still waiting for the test results to come back. The scariest and most frustrating part is the doctors claim that Chandlar’s case is a rare instance that still remains a mystery as they dive deeper into his testing... What they know for sure is that his heart was functioning at only 15% capacity when he arrived to the ER — far below the normal 50%. Since has recovered to 25% but is still left with the thoughts — what caused this? will it come back or was it a one time ordeal? We still don’t know…

Those who know Chandlar know he’s a driven, hardworking young man with a bright future. He runs his own marketing business and has always been on a great path in life. But everything came to a halt after spending four days in the ICU, and undergoing multiple hours of MRIs of his heart and brain.

Doctors had to insert monitoring tubes into his wrist and neck that help his heart pump harder, he’s on several medications and has been in the hospital for an additional 2 days now — each day in the ICU and hospital costing thousands of dollars per day, all without insurance coverage.

Once Chandlar is discharged, he’ll need to wear a life vest defibrillator 24 hours a day for the next three months. This vest will automatically shock his heart if it drops too low in capacity or beats irregularly — the device comes at a staggering cost of up to $10,000 per month without insurance...

Because of this crisis, Chandlar’s business has taken a major hit. It has already been slow for the past couple months to begin with, and now with the time he needs off work, he is under even more stress and facing the possibility of losing everything — his home, his truck, and even his dirt bike — all while trying to focus on healing his heart. His total hospital bills and expenses are to exceed $250,000 (and counting)

If you’re able to give — even $2–$5 — every dollar counts and it will go directly toward helping Chandlar cover his medical costs and get back on his feet for another chance at life. Your generosity means more than words can express. Thank you for supporting Chandlar during this incredibly difficult time.❤️‍
