Help Chanda Polk Fight Triple Negative Breast Cancer

On January 3rd, 2025, Chanda Polk started her new year off in a way most wouldn't imagine. As a caring mother of one, grandmother of two, and daughter of a mother who lost her battle with breast cancer at the early age of 45 and a father who is currently battling cancer, she has lived through struggles and hardships and come out a stronger woman able to love and support her family in many meaningful ways. As a non-profit employee, she has helped others to do the same. Unfortunately, with the new year came new hardships in the form of a metastatic breast cancer diagnosis at the age of 57. Having watched her own mom struggle through a similar diagnosis at a time when treatment options weren't as advanced, she never thought she would have to pass on those fateful words to her own daughter and loved ones, "I have cancer," "I'm scared," "I don't want to do this." As Chanda's daughter and only child, writing this message to you all, I'm hoping that you can help support my mom through her treatments and pray for her mental health and fortitude to fight this with all her might.

First and foremost, your donations will help support her treatments and doctor's visits. They will also help in allowing her time off work during her treatments and to afford her basic needs and other expenses such as medical equipment for our home and possibly home care.
