Hi, my name is Jaliyah, and I’m raising funds for my 3-year-old dog, Chance—my best friend and family since he was just 6 weeks old.

I bottle-fed Chance as a puppy and have cared for him every day of his life. He isn’t just a pet to me—he is my family, my comfort, and my responsibility. Watching him suffer right now has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through.

Recently, Chance was diagnosed with Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, and a bone disease commonly seen in German Shepherds. These conditions cause him severe pain, mobility issues, and extreme discomfort. Without proper treatment, his condition will only worsen and cause ongoing suffering.

The cost of treatment is overwhelming. Between ongoing veterinary care, expensive medications, pain management, testing, and emergency vet visits, the bills are far beyond what my family and I can afford. We are currently experiencing severe financial hardship and are homeless, and at 18 years old I’ve taken on full responsibility for Chance’s care with the support of my family. Despite doing everything we can, we simply cannot cover these costs alone.

Chance is the most loving, gentle, and friendly dog. He brings joy to everyone he meets and has been by my side through some of the hardest moments of my life. I cannot stand by and watch him suffer when treatment could give him comfort, relief, and a chance at a healthy life.

* Veterinary visits and diagnostic testing

* Antibiotics and long-term treatment for Lyme disease and Anaplasmosis

* Pain management and medications for his bone disease
