Help Chamisa with the Aftermath of Septic Shock

You all know me, Chamisa Gordon, the unstoppable force of nature who can't sit still.

On December 6th, 2022 I was hit with a case of septic shock out of the blue. My back and all my joints felt like someone was battering them with a hammer, so I went into the ER and spent the next three days in the ICU in Montrose, CO. They said if I hadn't gone in within the next five hours I might not have made it due to a huge drop in my blood pressure. I was finally stabilized by antibiotics and vasoconstrictors. I was given an I.V. straight through the jugular, which was pretty gnarly. I've been back and forth to doctors appointments, and I'm seeing six different therapists all over the state (ie. physical therapy, occupational, speech, psychologist for cognitive issues, and other basic bodily functions...) and having so many tests to try and figure out the cause of the septic shock so I don't relapse. This has been a huge strain on my loved ones - mom, significant other, and new baby dog Ama. Since I can't work right now or help any of the loved ones like I usually do, I really need some financial help to make ends meet. Gas, car maintenance, medical bills, hotels when I have to drive to the really far specialists, vet bills - Ama recently had her own medical odyssey involving a case of viral kennel cough- and also keeping food on the table. Anything you are able to help with is so greatly appreciated, and you know I pay it forward whenever I can. This has been an extremely exhausting -physically and emotionally - journey, and I have a long road to full recovery. Once I hit the 90-day mark I'm mostly out of the woods, but I'm still at a high risk of Post Septic Shock (PSS) relapse for the next five years. I love you all and appreciate you so much. I can't thank you enough and I can't wait to be up and outside again, you know how crazy I am when I have to hold still!
